Prophets carry blueprints. The blueprints are the "ways of God" found in His Word. The prophetic voice calls God's people back to the ancient paths, His blueprint (Jeremiah 6:16), the blueprint of His presence – loving Him first, walking by faith, being led by the Spirit of God an His ways, not ours.

Called Out of a Saul Blueprint and into a Davidic Blueprint

In this hour, the prophetic voice is calling God's people out of a Saul blueprint into a Davidic government blueprint.

A Davidic government blueprint honors the presence of God as its first priority and fulfills all that's in the heart and mind of God (Acts 13:22). A 'Saul government' is not interested in the presence of God as priority, but rather reputation and what looks pleasing in the sight of man. This is a religious blueprint.

"And let us bring back the ark of our God to us, for we did not seek it during the days of Saul." (1 Chronicles 13:3)

How do we overcome a religious spirit?

We welcome the prophetic voice, we honor the prophetic voice in our community, and we nurture and cultivate a prophetic culture.

Recognizing the Religious Spirit

The prophetic is the spirit of religion's arch enemy.

The prophetic voice will address religious mindsets and cultures. It will address hard and rebellious hearts. It will expose foundations and blueprints that are built from self-promotion and a self-righteous motivation deeply rooted in unbelief.

Religion's blueprint says your identity is found in what you do, not in who Jesus is.

The prophetic voice and prophetic culture nurtures, encourages and continues to challenge the people of God to always love Him first. This then stirs hearts to pursue and remain in intimacy, and walk in His ways.

The result of a people who are completely in love with Jesus is that they know who they are and are able to overcome, rather than perish in a valley of unbelief, becoming dead, dry bones.

It was the prophetic voice of Ezekiel that breathed life into death and called forth a people who had forgotten who they were into their overcoming identity as a mighty army (Ezekiel 37)!

"Where there is no vision, the people perish..." (Proverbs 29:18).

This means that where there is no prophetic vision, the people lose self-control and do not remain in His ways.

They go back to religion. They build with their own insight, which is the works of the flesh, and Scripture tells us this profits nothing (John 6:63). In fact, those things done in the flesh are rebellious to God's ways (Galatians 5:19-21).

"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft..." (1 Samuel 15:23)

Religion is rebellious to God's ways because it is built from the motive to promote man, not God.

Religion does not require faith (which brings Heaven and pleases God), because it relies on one's own ability and talents. The works of the flesh will war against the ways of the Spirit.

Where religion has a voice, it will cause God's people to be resistant to the paths of His presence.

"...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Religion hinders maturity in the people of God, and it keeps them in the realm of carnality, emotionally or being intellectually driven – relying on their carnal senses, rather than discerning by the Spirit of God.

The Antidote to the Religious Spirit

If there is a religious stranglehold in a community, region or nation, the voice of the prophetic needs to be awakened, received and honored.

That is the antidote to the religious spirit.

Leaders, if your church or community lacks a hunger for prayer and TRUE, authentic expressions of worship, if there is a resistance and lack of breakthrough in the move of God's Spirit, or if it seems spiritually dead, then you need to cultivate and honor the prophetic voice and prophetic anointing within your community and city.

You will begin to see resurrection life come as the prophetic is honored through prophetic worship, intercession, and through prophetic mouthpieces who release the word of the Lord in warning, correction, foresight or encouragement. Watch it bring life!

You will begin to receive greater insight and strategy in how to take regions, and how to take your local jurisdiction for Christ; how to align with God's blueprints, and how to see the outpouring of Heaven upon your service for the Lord.

"...Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful." (2 Chronicles 20:20)
