There is not much talk or preaching about demonology today because it is not a pleasant subject to talk about.

When satan was cast out of heaven, he took 1/3 of the angels with him. They became know as demons. Most of these angels are bound in hell and will be released during the 7-year Tribulation Period.

A percentage of satan’s forces, however, are alive and active on this earth, doing whatever they can do sabotage the work of our Lord. Their goal is also to keep man from getting back into God’s family.

Satan and his demons hate man and take pleasure in tormenting and destroying our lives.

Demons don’t die. The same demons that Jesus cast out 2000 years ago are still with us today. If they are not dead, then where are they?

Satan has a very large army of demons. They have been around for centuries and are well trained. Satan has demons assigned to every nation, city, church, and individual.

None of us is exempt from their influence. Sin is what gives them legal access into our lives, to influence us to do the things that are contrary to God’s wishes.

We all sin, so they have legal authority to do these things.

When you look at the mess that the world is in, you will have to agree that they are doing a pretty good job of carrying out their assignments.

All men sin; therefore, his demons have legal access to influence all of our lives.

To get rid of Satan and his demons, you need to get the sin out of your lives. A little sin = a little of Satan. Lots of sin = lots of Satan.

Demons can influence us from the outside or inside. There are certain sins that give Satan and his demons legal access to actually enter in and reside in a person. These sins are called DOOR OPENERS.

Demons seek to live within human beings so that they can manifest their personalities through that person. If they cannot find a person with an opening, then they will enter into an animal as a last resort.

One pastor stated that 99% of the people that he delivered from demons were Christians.

Yes, Christians can have demons residing within them, but these creatures do not have access to the spirit of any person who has accepted Jesus into his or her life.

When we become born again, the Holy Spirit then comes to reside within our spirits.

That part of a Christian is protected from Satan and his demons. They do, however, have access to the body and soul of man.

Demons have access to all 3 parts of a non-Christian.

Many people need deliverance. Demons living within a person will not leave on their own, even if that person comes to Jesus. These demons must be cast out. That is what we mean by deliverance. I know several people with ministries who are actually harboring demons from their earlier years.

I am going to repeat myself. Demons will NOT automatically leave when a person gets saved. They have to be cast out.

Do not feel embarrassed if you are a Christian with demons. It was a normal practice in the early church to cast the demons out of a person before they were baptized.
