Let's go back to the book of Judges when God was sovereign and people didn't have to bow down to an earthly king.
Jesus will finally be HEAD OF HIS CHURCH once again. Jesus is our King and Commander in Chief of His Army.
Jesus will rule as King over the earth for 1,000 years after Satan has his 7 years and is sent to hell. God told us that this harvest is also preparing the world for those 1,000 years.
The BRIDE OF CHRIST will take a 7 year vacation from this earth while Satan does his thing, but we will return with our King Jesus at the Battle of Armageddon.
